This service is designed to appeal to a wide variety of people of all denominational backgrounds. We follow Lectionary readings, and aim to breathe new life into the traditional forms. Communion is served on the second and fourth Sundays of each month (as well as at Christmas, Maundy Thursday and Easter) and open to all who follow Jesus. There is a space at the back with toys and suitable books where parents can take younger children. Walkers are most welcome – as are stockinged feet if they feel boots are dirty. We regularly have dogs in the congregation. (NB This service will not be held on Sunday 22nd January 2017 , as we encourage all to attend the Prayer for Christian Unity service at St Mary’s Ambleside; this is the only Sunday in the year when we shall not have a service in Holy Trinity.) There will be a short Service of Prayer for Christian Unity at 2pm on Monday 23rd January this year, followed by refreshments – all are very welcome.
